Farmers.io

Farmers.io is a colourful farm-themed .io game where you blend snake gameplay with a farm environment where every move counts to decide your survival or being eliminated from the field. The game puts you in constant competition, forcing you to harvest resources while dodging and confronting other players in the same cramped space.

When Snake In Farm Life: Farmers.io

Have you ever played Snake on your old Nokia "brick" phone? Farmers.io recreates that classic "queueing" mechanism, but instead of a snake, you control a tractor with a hay bale behind it.

Your mission: enter the field, run around to harvest the rice. The more you harvest, the fuller your hay bale becomes – and the longer it gets. Sound familiar? "The more you eat, the longer you get; the longer you get, the easier it is to die."

However, the best part of Farmers.io lies in its biggest difference: the ultimate goal isn't to break records, but to steal them. You won't be harvesting rice alone. There will be other "farmers" running around the map. At this point, the "gecko" rules apply:

  • Circle the enemy: If you surround the opponent's tractor, they will disappear (lose).
  • Collect dropped resources: All the rice your opponent has harvested will fall in a large lump. Your job is simply to rush in and grab the dropped resources.

It's a perfect loop: You harvest rice -> Become longer -> Use your length to trap opponents -> Steal their rice -> Become even longer.

Play game Farmers.io

Controls

  • Movement: Drag the mouse (on PC) or swipe the screen (on mobile) to navigate the harvester.
  • Speed up (if available): Hold the mouse or tap and hold to move faster in necessary situations.

Tips For Beginners

  • Survival is paramount: Don't be greedy from the start. Hover around the edges of the map, harvesting stray rice stalks to build your base length.
  • "Eat" passively instead of actively: It's difficult to hunt other players by rushing in. Instead, observe. There are often skirmishes between other farmers. Silently swim in, grab the large resource chunks they've dropped, and retreat.
  • Be wary of lone players: Some farmers aren't very long but run very fast and get right in front of you. They are real assassins. When you encounter them, it's best to run for your life.
  • Utilize speed: The ultimate goal in each level is usually a race against time or completing a certain percentage of the crop. Don't focus too much on killing other players and miss your targets.

The more greedy you are at harvesting, the harder you make things. Farmers.io rewards quick-handed players, but only keeps those who are alert enough.
