Cobb Can Move is a roguelite survival horror game that plunges players into intense chases where monsters change abilities and the rules are refreshed after each round. The game builds pressure by requiring players to collect coal, activate switches, and survive against Cobb in ever-unpredictable situations.

You Can't Play The Same Level Twice

Each time you start a new level, Cobb Can Move will randomly impose a different set of rules on Cobb – the giant monster lurking in the shadows.

You read that right. That very monster, Cobb, will be "equipped" with random skills such as:

• Hearing: It will hear you if you run around aimlessly.
• Smelling: The closer you are, the faster it will smell you.
• Seeing: It will see you if you are within sight and there is light.
• Duplicating: Oh, worst of all, now there's more than one Cobb.

“There are a few ways to tell what Cobb is doing. If it can smell, it will make intermittent sniffing sounds; it sniffs faster the closer you are.”

You can always check the current rules in the Pause menu, but in the game, you have to figure out its sounds and behavior yourself.

Gameplay In Cobb Can Move

Your task seems simple: find the scattered coal chunks in the arena and burn them, and flip the switch to open an escape route. However, the simplicity of the objective creates tremendous pressure when you know that Cobb is always out there and his senses have changed.

A little tip shared by the game's author: "If you run into the shadows when he sees you, try standing completely still – he won't be able to hear you." Great, right? But only if he doesn't have a sense of smell.

The light source is your only glimmer of hope. You'll have to manage your coal supply, just enough to light the path but also saving some for the main objective.
